David was born on 26 May 1980 in Aachen, Germany, and grew up bilingual (German-Dutch). After graduating from the Catholic Grammar School Rolduc in Kerkrade, he started his law studies at the Faculty of Law of Maastricht University in 1998.
After completing his undergraduate studies, David chose an international focus (European law and language studies), combined with studies in French and German (legal) languages. In 2001, David studied law at the Université Paul Cézanne in Aix-en-Provence (France) before starting his law studies at the Eberhard Karls University in Tübingen (Germany) in 2002. In 2003, David graduated in Dutch law.
David has been sworn in and working as a lawyer since 2004. Since then, he has acquired extensive knowledge and experience in various areas of national and international private law, such as liability law (and in particular personal injury law), insurance law, commercial law and sales law. In this context, he regularly represents the interests of foreign and namely German-speaking clients both in out-of-court negotiations and in court. In addition, David has extensive experience in the field of civil procedure law in Dutch district, regional and appeal courts and has an extensive international network of lawyers with whom he regularly collaborates.
