RPH Advocaten works on the basis of hourly rates, fixed price agreements and, if applicable, state legal aid from the Dutch authority “Raad voor Rechtsbijstand”. Below you will find all the information you need about costs.
Our hourly rates
The standard (net) hourly rate depends on the importance of the case and the professional level. We will always inform you as well as possible in advance about the costs to be expected.
Please note: Free legal assistance may be available in personal injury cases.
Cost structure
Our firm's hourly rates do not include bailiff fees, court fees, 6% office expenses and VAT. For the commissioning of external specialists, you will be charged the corresponding (higher) hourly rate.
See also our general terms and conditions.
Other matters
For contracts, standard procedures and the administrative appeal procedures, a fixed price can be agreed after an estimate of the work involved.
For the conduct of court proceedings, the normal hourly rate and/or the hourly rate of the specialist instructed for you will be charged. The latter will of course be done after consultation with you.
Indigence
If you are indigent, you can apply to the Raad voor Rechtsbijstand for legal aid for counselling or court proceedings. You would then have to pay a personal contribution. Whether you are entitled to legal aid and how much your own contribution is depends on your income and assets.
Persons with legal expenses insurance may use a lawyer of their choice in administrative or court proceedings. It does not matter whether a lawyer is required in court or not.
